VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTIONS
VENTURA COUNTY STAND DOWN 2011
Thank you so much for your inquiry regarding volunteering at our 19th annual Ventura County Stand Down. I hope that the information below will provide all the necessary information you may need.
DATES OF EVENT:
July 29, 30 & 31, 2011
LOCATION:
CA Army National Guard Armory
1270 Arundell Avenue
Ventura, CA 93003-5024
DIRECTIONS:
North Bound 101:
Exit Main Street and make a left. Go to Market Street and make a right. Go to the end of the street to Arundell and make a right. Armory is on right-hand side.
South Bound 101:
Exit at Telephone and make a right. Go to Market Street and make a right. Go to the end of the street to Arundell and make a right. Armory is on right-hand side.
The Armory is approximately 1 mile from the freeway.
VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTIONS
All volunteers must be over 18 years of age. Children will not be allowed at the Stand Down site unless they are a member of the homeless veteran family.
Volunteers will be used in various areas, including the clothing area, toiletry area, cooking area, etc.
You can schedule your volunteer time:
On Friday, July 29 – any time between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m
On Saturday, July 30 – (same as above)
On Sunday, July 31 – any time between 8:00 a.m. and noon to assist in the tear down and clean up of the site.
You can volunteer for as many hours as you wish.
